Auction House Radar: items rising and falling this week

Auction House Radar: items rising and falling this week

•Data & Meta•Brendo Arruda

What is a weekly AH radar for?

It helps the player to:

  • buy better
  • sell better
  • avoid entering a bad trend late
  • decide what to farm or stock

It is not a magical oracle. It's a reading tool.

1. Items with the highest weekly appreciation

Good radar observes categories, not just an isolated item:

  • consumables
  • raw materials
  • gems
  • enchantments
  • craft items
  • items that accompany the content phase

The correct reading is less “it went up 20%” and more “why is it going up?”.

2. Dropping items and possible causes

Loss usually comes from:

  • saturation
  • farm too much
  • change in demand
  • natural rotation of the week
  • hype that has cooled

Understanding the cause of the fall is worth more than memorizing the number.

3. Purchase and resale opportunities

You earn more when:

  • purchase during a low phase with an understandable reason
  • sells in real demand window
  • does not chase late race

AH rewards patience with discretion, not anxiety with haste.

4. Common Trend Reading Mistakes

  • enter too late
  • confusing short spike with solid trend
  • buy because “everyone is talking about it”
  • ignore liquidity
  • look at price without looking at turnover

5. Weekly economic decision plan

  1. observe categories that you already understand
  2. define what you want to sell or buy
  3. act in markets with real turnover
  4. avoid filling the AH without a minimum reading

Economic Radar Checklist

  • [ ] Do I understand why the item went up or down?
  • [ ] Is there real liquidity?
  • [ ] am I buying early or chasing?
  • [ ] does this decision suit my capital?
  • [ ] am I reading the market or just reacting to the noise?

Minimum recommendation

Good AH radar is used for:

  1. give context
  2. avoid impulse
  3. help buy and sell with more margin
  4. teach reading, not just number

In the WoW market, understanding the “why” is almost always worth more than memorizing the “how much”.
