The Azeroth Legacy Web Market: how to sell rare items even while offline
What is Marketplace Web
Marketplace Web is the Azeroth Legacy buying and selling platform accessible through the website. You advertise items from your inventory directly through the Dashboard, set a price and wait for the purchase — without needing to be online, without depending on an in-game trade channel, without waiting for a buyer at the right time.
The flow is asynchronous: you sell when you want, the buyer buys when you want, and the gold and the item are transferred through the system automatically.
Beta: Marketplace Web available for free during beta. After launch, exclusive access for VIP subscribers.
How the offline sales flow works
1. Access the Marketplace through the Dashboard
Log in to the website with your account and go to the Marketplace section. The character's inventory appears available for advertising.
2. Select the item to sell
Choose the item from the inventory. The system displays basic information — name, type, stats — to confirm it's the right item before continuing.
3. Set the price
You decide the price. Marketplace can display recent price references for the same item to help you make your decision. The final price is yours.
4. Post the ad
After confirming the price, the ad is visible to all buyers on the Marketplace. The item leaves your inventory and remains in system custody until sold or canceled.
5. Receive gold after the sale
When the item is purchased, the gold automatically enters your digital wallet. You can check the Dashboard statement.
Item types with the highest chance of exit
Crafting materials in constant demand
Herbs, flowers, leather, cloth and other professional materials have frequent buyers because everyone needs them at some point. The advantage is high turnover — the item ships quickly even at a competitive price.
Raid consumables
Flasks, potions and buff foods are in predictable weekly demand. Players who do not farm consumables purchase them before each raid cycle. Announcing on the eve of reset is ideal timing.
Unused dungeon and raid drops
Gear items that aren't upgrades for you may be exactly what someone at an earlier stage of progression needs. Fair price sells quickly.
Rare recipes and crafting patterns
Revenue drops have a specific but motivated buyer. The price is higher and sales are slower — but when it closes, the value makes up for it.
Enchantment items
Disenchant essences, powders, and crystals are in continual demand from those who are enchanting new gear. Average volume, reasonable turnover.
Good practices for efficient advertising
Price with reference, not on impulse
Check the item's price history before advertising. Price much lower sells quickly but leaves gold on the table. Prices too high are stuck and take up space in the ad.
Advertise at the right volume
For high-demand materials, stack advertising is more efficient than single advertising — crafting buyers would rather buy 20 at once than 20 separate ads.
Don't leave an expired ad sitting idle
Expired ad that has not been renewed takes up space and indicates that the price was high. Cancel, re-evaluate the price and re-advertise.
Update price when market changes
If the same item is appearing much cheaper on the Marketplace, your ad will stall. Adjust the price or remove and replace later.
Errors that stop sales conversion
1. Price very far from the market reference
Buyers with options choose the cheapest option they consider fair. If your price is 40% above other ads without a clear difference, the item will not move.
2. Advertising wrong item
Selecting the item by name without checking stats or quality may result in accidentally selling an item you still use. Confirm before publishing.
3. Do not follow the ad
Leaving the price at a standstill while the market changes is gold at a standstill. A quick weekly review on the Dashboard will do the trick.
4. Ignore seasonality
Consumables sell closer to raid reset. Leveling items sell more when there are new players on the server. Right timing speeds up sales without having to lower the price.
5. Not checking your wallet after the sale
Gold that you entered stays in your digital wallet until you use it. If you don't check, you won't know that you have gold available and you may miss the opportunity to reinvest.
