No pay-to-win: what can and cannot be purchased on Azeroth Legacy
The server's position
Azeroth Legacy draws a clear line in its VIP system:
VIP does not give: gear, stats, drop bonus or any combat advantage.
There are no exceptions. There is no "just this one item". This is the foundation of the project.
What VIP offers is convenience and cosmetics — things that save time or personalize the experience without touching the game's balance.
What VIP includes
Convenience
- Login queue priority — preferred access at peak times
- Teleport to capital cities — with a 1-hour cooldown
- Field gear repair — no vendor needed, with a 30-minute cooldown
- Early access to events — before they open to all players
- Priority support on Discord — a dedicated channel to solve problems faster
Identity
- Exclusive cosmetic mounts and titles — visuals that show you took part in building the project
- Exclusive Discord badge — visual recognition in the community
Character slots
- Free: 10 slots
- VIP: 16 slots
What is the same for everyone
With or without VIP:
- Full access to the server
- All raids, dungeons and battlegrounds
- All progression mechanics
- All endgame content
What will never be for sale
There are things the project does not sell. On principle, not for lack of demand:
- Gear — no piece of equipment that affects performance
- Stats — no bonus to strength, stamina, haste, crit or any other attribute
- Drop bonus — no increased loot chance
- Permanent XP bonus — no bought leveling speed-up
- Gold — no conversion of real money into the in-game economy
- Direct PvP or PvE advantage — no shortcut that replaces legitimate progression
The reason is simple: a server that sells power breaks trust. When someone dies to an enemy or loses a piece of loot, the question "did they buy that?" cannot exist.
Why the line matters
Private servers die in two ways: lack of infrastructure or lack of trust.
Azeroth Legacy's VIP solves the first part — every contribution funds servers, fixes and new content. But that only works if the second part stays intact.
When the community knows exactly what can and cannot be bought, the relationship between players is honest. Whoever has a rare item got it because they played — not because they paid.
Frequently asked questions
"Does a VIP mount give an advantage?"
No. Cosmetic mounts in WotLK 3.3.5a are visual. Travel speed depends on your riding training, not on the mount's model.
"Will VIP change?"
Benefits and prices may be adjusted as the server evolves, always with transparency. What does not change is the principle: no gear, no stats, no competitive advantage.
"Where do I activate VIP?"
VIP will be activated soon. Follow the announcements on the Azeroth Legacy Discord to be the first to know.
