Why follow the roadmap?
Players who know the roadmap make better decisions: they know when it's worth investing in gear for a phase, when a new raid will open, which systems are being improved.
Those who ignore the roadmap are often caught off guard — whether by a change that affects their class, or by an event window that passed without taking advantage.
Upcoming deliveries and expected windows
The Azeroth Legacy roadmap is divided into content phases, following the natural progression of WotLK:
- Current phase: Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum and Eye of Eternity available
- Next phase: Ulduar — one of WotLK's most acclaimed raids, with hard difficulty mode
- Next phase: Trial of the Crusader and Onyxia (reintroduction)
- Final Endgame: Icecrown Citadel — the narrative climax of the expansion
Each phase has a direct impact on the economy, item value and raid group composition.
Technical and content priorities
In addition to raid content, active development includes:
- Boss scripts — review and correction for retail fidelity
- PvP matchmaking system — improvements to arena and BG balance
- Server interface — updates to the web dashboard and ticket system
- Performance — lag optimizations at peak times
- Seasonal Events — calendar aligned with events from the original WoW
What is already in active development
Features with confirmed and ongoing development:
- Adjustments to the CP system based on community feedback
- Review of PvP world mechanics for specific zones
- Improvements to the bug reporting system with public tracking
- Expansion of the auction catalog with exclusive items
How changes impact players
Each phase of new content brings:
- Previous gear deflation — items from the current phase lose relative value
- New progression objectives — new raid = new BiS to chase
- Meta changes — specs that were marginal may become more viable
- Economy — crafting materials and consumables change demand
Planning based on the roadmap avoids investing heavily in something that will depreciate in 4 weeks.
