"First War" series — First War #10. The story of Warcraft I, from the clans of Draenor to the fall of Stormwind. The episodes are listed in order at the end of the post.
This is the episode where the truth comes out. Living in Karazhan, the apprentice Khadgar began seeing scenes from the past and the future in the tower's corridors. One of them showed Medivh himself behind the orc invasion. Khadgar understood that his master was no longer just his master: inside him was Sargeras. With that discovery, he rushed to warn Anduin Lothar, and the First War reached its decisive moment.
The echoes of time
Karazhan was built on a meeting point of energy lines, and Medivh's power played with time inside the tower. Scenes from other eras appeared in the corridors like ghosts: parties that had already happened, conversations that were still to come.
For Khadgar, the echoes were first a curiosity and then a threat. Some scenes showed things no one should see.

The vision of the future
One of Khadgar's visions showed the future: orcs on Azeroth, cities burning, and Khadgar himself, already old, fighting them. The scene was so real that he came out of it shaken.
Another vision showed the past: Medivh, still young, linked to his mother, Aegwynn, and the shadow of something enormous hidden in him. Putting the pieces together, Khadgar understood what was wrong with his master.
Sargeras inside the Guardian
What Khadgar discovered was that Medivh had been possessed by Sargeras since before he was born. It was Sargeras who guided Medivh during his absences and who led him to help the Horde cross the Dark Portal.
Medivh was not just a traitor. He was someone used by a fallen titan, who had turned Azeroth's Guardian into the enemy's gateway.

The warning to Lothar
Khadgar knew that alone he could do nothing against the Guardian. He fled Karazhan and went to Anduin Lothar, the commander of Stormwind and Medivh's childhood friend.
For Lothar, the news was a blow. Medivh had been like a brother. But the evidence was strong, and the war against the Horde was going from bad to worse. If Medivh was helping the enemy, Stormwind would not survive while he was alive.
Garona in the middle of it all
Garona was also involved. She knew the Horde's plans and began helping Khadgar and Lothar with information. But she was still tied to the Shadow Council, and Gul'dan still had power over her. No one knew how far her loyalty went, not even she did.

The decision
Lothar and Khadgar decided they had to face Medivh in Karazhan, before he did more damage. The confrontation between the two childhood friends and the Guardian's apprentice is the end of the season.
