Forge of Souls: quick guide to the first 5-man ICC

•Dungeons•Brendo Arruda

Forge of Souls is short, but it's not enough content to sleep through

She is the first ICC 5-man and, therefore, many people underestimate her. The problem is that short dungeons are often treated as dungeons without consequences. Forge of Souls is not difficult due to its duration. It's difficult when the group comes in ill-prepared, gets their positioning wrong and doesn't respect simple mechanics.

Minimum composition and requirements

You want a stable, not inventive group:

  • tank that can hold pace without pulling the entire map
  • healer with basic sustain to deal with reactive damage
  • DPS that kill quickly without leaving the ground

Bosses and attention points

Bronjahm

Pune group that ignores positioning and reading the meeting. The secret is not to turn a simple fight into chaos out of greed.

Devourer of Souls

It's the true filter of the dungeon. Here pug wipes tend to come from people who don't respect frontal ability, reaction timing and minimal organization.

Most common errors in PUG

  • tank without positioning properly
  • DPS greeding cast and dying to avoidable mechanics
  • healer panicking on predictable damage

Loot and value on the way to ICC

Forge of Souls is worth being part of the chain and delivering honest upgrades for those who are still building a character.

Quick pre-pull checklist

| Item | Confirm | |---|---| | Tank knows how to pull at a steady pace | | | Group respects frontal and position | | | Healer has up-to-date mana/setup | | | The goal of the run is clear | |

Minimum recommendation

  1. enter as a serious progression dungeon, not as a ride
  2. respect positioning in Devourer of Souls
  3. pull at a controlled pace
  4. Use as gateway to the 5-man ICC chain
  5. If the pug is chaotic early, adjust expectations quickly
