Pit of Saron: mechanics and how not to wipe

Pit of Saron kills unprepared group because error accumulates

This dungeon doesn't tend to be wiped out just by an “appelão” boss. It wipes out because the group arrives disorganized, moves poorly, moves poorly and arrives without resources in the parts that require the most execution.

Entrance, events and route

The beginning already requires a sense of rhythm. A hasty tank, DPS advancing without reason and a healer dragged into a bad pull turn the dungeon into a sequence of avoidable deaths.

Main bosses

Forgemaster Garfrost

Pune group that does not respect accumulation and positioning.

Ick and Krick

They demand reaction, reading the ground and discipline. Players who turn off their brains here tend to die quickly.

Tyrannus

The final fight punishes much more than it seems when the group arrives worn out and without attention.

Why does the final route kill so many groups

Because the dungeon has already been draining organization since the entrance. When the group reaches the end in a hurry and without control, any error weighs double.

Normal x Heroic

The heroic version doesn't just change the number. It exposes more forcefully what was already an execution error in the normal way.

Preparation checklist

| Item | Confirm | |---|---| | Tank with clean route | | | Group knows how to respect ground and debuff | | | Healer enters with mana and controlled pace | | | Pulls without excessive haste | |

Minimum recommendation

  1. Treat Pit as run dungeon, not rush
  2. hold the rhythm from the entrance until the end
  3. respect Garfrost, Ick/Krick and Tyrannus as real checks
  4. don't get to the final boss messed up
  5. heroic is only comfortable when the base is already clean
