What speeds up Fury Warrior the most at the beginning?
Fury is a spec that responds too much to certain upgrades and responds poorly to disorganized gearing. You don't want to pile up random pieces. Do you want to create a character who:
- turns on damage early
- respect the caps
- improves a lot when weapon goes up
- does not waste important itemization
First upgrades with the biggest impact on DPS
1. Weapons
This is the most important slot for Fury. Weapon upgrades are almost always worth more than swapping out several small, average slots.
2. Trinkets
Good Trinket changes burst, consistency and spin feel.
3. Great offensive slots
Chest, legs, head and hands with good offensive itemization make a lot of difference early.
4. Items that close hit/expertise
Sometimes the most valuable upgrade is the one that lets the rest of the gear really work.
Priority weapons for Fury at the beginning
Fury is extremely sensitive to weapon quality. Rule of thumb:
- gun first
- then trinket
- then big slots
- only then minor details
If you try to “compensate” for a bad weapon with a better ring, cape and boots, the character will still be crooked.
Order of progression by content
Heroics and reputation
Use to mount base and fix caps.
Crafted and useful BoEs
They are used to speed up slots that would take too long per drop.
Emblems
They enter to fill a real hole or run to a strong tier, depending on the server's stage.
Inbound raids
Here the objective is to improve the set without losing the base caps and weapons.
Relevant caps to avoid wasting items
For Fury, the big mistake at the beginning is ignoring how much the setup needs to respect Hit and then starting to refine the rest. Without this, a lot of your DPS feel is off.
What to remember
- basic hit cap needs to be taken seriously
- expertise at an appropriate level avoids waste
- after that, strength, weapon and offensive itemization scale better
Fury doesn't forgive well the player who “thinks he'll correct the detail later”.
Priority errors in Fury gearing
1. Bad weapon for too long
2. Buy beautiful pieces and ignore caps
3. Invest early in small slots
4. Enter a raid with a crooked hit
5. Treat tier as automatic throughout the phase
Minimum recommendation
For Fury to climb early:
- prioritize weapon
- after trinket
- close basic caps
- Fix big slots before small ones
- adapt tier and emblems to the server phase
Fury only seems “weak” early when the gear is being assembled in the wrong order.
