Isle of Conquest: how to play without getting lost

Isle of Conquest: how to play without getting lost

•Advanced PvP•Brendo Arruda

Why is IoC so confusing?

Because the map mixes too many things at once:

  • captureable bases
  • reinforcements
  • vehicles
  • bombs
  • enemy general
  • group rotation

Anyone who enters the Isle of Conquest thinking only about killing people usually becomes part of the chaos, not the victory.

Main objectives and order of priority

In IoC, you can win by:

  1. exhaust enemy reinforcements
  2. make your way to the general and kill the final boss

To achieve this, the map revolves around strategic points that give:

  • vehicles
  • access
  • spin advantage
  • pressure on the enemy base

Practical priority

The order changes depending on the game, but the logic is:

  • control objectives that accelerate your victory condition
  • do not abandon a key point for a futile fight
  • convert map dominance into real advancement

Role of each function within the map

Tanks

They help most when:

  • hold pressure in the right place
  • lead advancement where the comp needs stability
  • buy time in decisive fights

Healers

They have a lot of impact on:

  • push sustain
  • node defense
  • group survival in long rotation

DPS

They need to understand that in IoC the damage is only valid when:

  • clean defense
  • protects advance
  • guarantees objective
  • interrupts important enemy attempt

Rotation decisions with the greatest impact

Good rotation in IoC answers three questions:

  1. Which goal really matters now?
  2. Are we winning the map or just fighting?
  3. Does moving now give you an advantage or does it abandon something essential?

Rule of thumb

  • rotate early when the objective changes the match
  • don’t rotate just because the fight is “excited”
  • do not overcrowd one point while another decides the BG

Common match reading errors

  1. fight in the middle for no reason
  2. ignore vehicles and bombs
  3. not understanding which node accelerates your victory condition
  4. chase kill while objective falls
  5. attack the general without sufficient base to support

How to simplify your game on IoC

If you still get lost on the map, think about it like this:

  • does my team need to hold, rotate or advance?
  • does this fight open the objective?
  • am I in a place that changes the game or just keeps me busy?

When the IoC seems confusing, reduce the reading to “what changes the map now?” solves a lot of things.

Quick checklist for IoC

  • [ ] Do I know which main objective is worth more now?
  • [ ] Is my role helping on the map or just in combat?
  • [ ] Is my team converting control into advancement?
  • [ ] are we protecting our victory condition?
  • [ ] does this rotation create an advantage or just mess?

Minimum recommendation

On Isle of Conquest:

  1. objective commands more than kill
  2. rotation is worth more than random fight
  3. vehicles and nodes really matter
  4. the team that understands the map wins more than the team that just fights better

IoC becomes much less chaotic when you stop playing the map like it's a giant arena.
