Weekend in Northrend: how to double your CPs and what to prioritize in the store
How the weekend bonus works
Azeroth Legacy activates periodic CP bonus events during weekends and special dates. The most common format is income multipliers in specific activity categories — dungeons, BGs, daily quests — during a defined time window.
The bonus is not automatic for every CP earned. It applies to event activities. Those who play normally, without adjusting their routine for the bonus activities, do not take advantage of the multiplier.
Beta: Weekend bonus events open to everyone during the beta. After launch, VIPs may have additional multipliers or early access to the event.
Most efficient activities to accumulate CP in the event
The priority changes depending on which category has an active bonus. The principle is always the same: identify what is subsidized and focus your playing time on that activity during the window.
When the bonus is in dungeons
What to do:
- Do heroic dungeons as much as possible within the window
- Prioritize instances you still have "first completion of the day" bonus
- Fixed group speeds up the cycle — less setup time per run
What not to do:
- Don't waste time on non-rewarded activities thinking it will pay off later
- Do not repeat the same dungeon if the first completion bonus has already been consumed
When the bonus is in BGs
What to do:
- Get in line early — the peak number of players in BGs during the event is higher, which reduces waiting time in line
- Winning BGs often have additional CP in addition to the bonus — playing to win matters more during the event
What not to do:
- Don't enter BG just to participate if you don't feel like playing for real — victory and defeat have a difference in performance
When the bonus is in quests
What to do:
- Complete the quests with the highest base CP first — the multiplier amplifies those who already had a high return
- If there are exclusive event quests with additional bonuses, prioritize these before normal dailies
Priority order in the store by profile
Having extra CP is an opportunity to advance in areas that have been left behind. The right spending order depends on your current stage in the game.
Fresh 80 with incomplete gear
- Progression amenities — any item that speeds up the starting gear route
- Dungeon consumables or enablers — reduces dependence on purchasing from the Marketplace
- Cosmetics only after gear progression is stable
Raider active in raid progression
- Raid utility items — anything that improves weekly performance
- Routine conveniences — time-saving everyday enablers
- Cosmetics as a personal reward for progress achieved
PvP focused player
- Items that help with the PvP gear route — without creating a prohibited advantage
- Arena/BG Conveniences — reduces time spent on setup before queuing
- Cosmetics after the PvP set is assembled
Collector / casual
- Store-exclusive collectibles — cosmetics, mounts, pets that only exist here
- Quality of life amenities — services that make the experience more fluid
- Functional progression has less urgency in this profile
Spending errors during promotional period
1. Spend the accumulated CP before the event ends
If you earned CP at the event and have an item you want in the store, you can spend it. But don't spend it just because "you have more CP than normal". The event will end and normal routine will return.
2. Not having a spending plan before accumulating
Entering the event without knowing what you want to buy leads to impulse spending — an item that seems good at the time, but you won't use.
3. Ignoring the event because you don't know the format
Bonus events are announced on Discord and the website in advance. Not following the ads is missing the window without knowing it existed.
4. Spending everything and not keeping a reserve
An extra CP event is not an excuse to clear your wallet. Keep a reservation for the next event or for a priority item that appears in the store.
5. Focus on activity not rewarded out of habit
Player who does their normal routine during dungeon bonus event is leaving CP on the table. Adapting the session to what is available during the window is the central point of the event.
Event execution checklist
Before the event starts
- [ ] Did you read the advertisement and know which activities are subsidized?
- [ ] Do you know the start and end time window?
- [ ] Have you defined what you want to buy with the extra CP?
- [ ] Do you have a group or plan for dungeons/BGs if the bonus is in these activities?
During the event
- [ ] Are you doing the bonus activities, not the normal routine?
- [ ] Are you taking advantage of the "first completion" bonus before repeating content?
- [ ] Did you monitor CP income to confirm that the bonus is active?
At the end of the event
- [ ] Did you spend the planned CP or save it with a clear destination?
- [ ] Do you have a minimum reservation for the following week's routine?
- [ ] Did you record which activities yielded the most to replicate at the next event?
