The end of mandatory voting: how to earn server coins just by playing

•Economy•Brendo Arruda

Why mandatory voting was a problem

The private server list voting model (vote sites) was for a long time the main mechanism for rewarding coins on private servers. The logic was: you vote, the server moves up in the rankings, you earn points.

The problem is that voting has nothing to do with the game. It creates an obligation external to gameplay — remembering to click on a specific website once or twice a day, sometimes with captcha, sometimes at a specific time. Player who forgets loses reward. Players with an irregular routine are at a disadvantage.

In Azeroth Legacy, the model is different: coins come from gameplay, not from external clicks.

Beta: Activity reward system available to everyone in beta. After launch, VIPs may have access to exclusive CP bonuses or multipliers.

Sources of currency within gameplay

Daily Login

The simplest and most consistent font. You enter the game, CP enters your wallet. There is no additional task — the act of playing is enough.

The yield varies depending on the streak of consecutive days. Maintaining login consistency, even on short session days, maximizes this gain over time.

Quests and daily activities

Quests with CP rewards distributed by the server deliver currency through direct gameplay. The variety of quests available ensures that different player profiles — PvE, PvP, social — have access to rewards without depending on a single type of content.

Dungeons and raids

Instanced content has a CP reward for completion. The first completion of the day (or the week, depending on the content) usually has a bigger bonus — it's worth checking which instances have this model and prioritizing it in your routine.

Server events

Periodic events — seasonal, weekend, special raid — deliver CP in quantities above the normal rate. These are the windows with the greatest accumulation and deserve attention when they appear.

Achievements and progression milestones

Some server achievements generate CP as a one-time reward. Natural gameplay progression — first raid boss, reputation level, PvP achievement — activates these rewards without specific action.

Activities with the best return per time

| Activity | Frequency | Estimated time | Return by time | |---|---|---|---| | Daily Login | Daily | 1 min | High (zero effort) | | Daily CP Quests | Daily | 20-30 min | High | | Heroic Dungeon (1st of the day) | Daily | 30-45 min | High | | Weekly Raid | Weekly | 2-3h | Medium-high | | Special event | Periodical | Varies | Very loud when active | | Progression Achievements | Once | Varies | High for being unique |

What to prioritize if you have 1 hour a day

  1. Login (30 seconds)
  2. Daily CP Quests (1-2 high return quests)
  3. A heroic dungeon with first completion bonus

This block covers most of the daily income in less than 1 hour of play.

How to set up a routine without depending on voting

Basic principle: CP comes from habit, not vigilance

Voting required remembering to do something outside of the game. CP per gameplay only requires playing. The correct routine is to enter the game and the coins arrive as a result.

Identify your top 2-3 sources

For most profiles, income comes from a few concentrated sources:

  • Daily Login
  • 1-2 specific high CP quests
  • First dungeon of the day

Knowing exactly these sources eliminates time spent deciding "what to do to earn CP today".

Dock at session start

Login and daily CP quests should be the first few minutes of any session. Don't leave it until the end — short sessions end before you get there.

Use events as an extra window, not as a base

Special events are bonuses, not foundation. If you depend on the week's event to have relevant CP, the base income is poorly optimized. Events must be accelerated on an already functional basis.

Route errors that reduce performance

1. Skip daily login on short session days

"I don't have time to play today" and "I won't log in" are different things. 1-minute login to collect the daily bonus is always valid, even without actually playing.

2. Do low CP quests instead of the most profitable ones

Not every CP quest yields the same. Identifying the 2-3 quests with the highest return per time and prioritizing these eliminates session waste.

3. Do not use the first dungeon completion

Dungeons with a first daily completion bonus lose that bonus if you do the same dungeon twice. Vary the instances or check which one has an active bonus before entering.

4. Missing events due to lack of attention

CP events appear on the server calendar and in Discord. Not following these ads is missing the highest yield windows.

5. Spend CP before having a minimum reserve

Without reserve, any store item that appears drains what you have. Set a minimum CP floor that you maintain before spending.

Weekly coin acquisition plan

Daily (every day)

  • Login: +CP base
  • 2 quests with the highest return: +variable CP
  • 1 heroic dungeon (first of the day): +CP with bonus

Weekly

  • Main raid of the week: +Raid CP
  • Review of new achievements: +CP of achievement if unlocked

Situational (when active)

  • Special event: top priority during window
  • Event quests: replace normal daily quests when the return is higher

With this structure in place, weekly CP income is predictable and does not depend on any mechanism external to the game.
