How the Check Points (CP) system works — earning rewards just by playing
What are Check Points?
Check Points (CP) are Azeroth Legacy's progression currency based on real-world activity. You don't need to spend money — you need to play.
The system was designed to reward consistency: players who regularly participate in server activities naturally accumulate CP and can exchange them for rewards relevant to their progression.
How to earn CP consistently
The main sources of CP on the server:
- Dungeons and raids — completing group content generates CP per boss and per complete clear
- Daily quests — server-specific daily quests with CP reward
- Daily check-in — logging in and doing minimal activity counts
- Server Events — seasonal and special events with temporary CP bonuses
- PvP — battlegrounds and arena contribute to stacking
Consistency matters more than spikes. A player who does his dailies every day surpasses in CP someone who plays a lot on a weekend and disappears for two weeks.
Which activities generate the best return
In order of CP efficiency per time invested:
- Daily quests — short, repeatable, high relative return
- Daily check-in — minimum effort, guarantees accumulation base
- Temporary events — when active, top priority (bonuses do not return)
- Raids — high total CP, but requires more time and coordination
- Dungeons — good for those who are still in their gear progression
CP usage priority per profile
PvE player focused on progression: prioritize gear items or tokens that speed up entry into raids.
PvP Player: check available PvP rewards — some CP items are cost-effective for arena.
Casual player: cosmetics and mounts — CP well spent on items that don't depreciate over time.
Alt Player: check whether CP is shared per account or per character before distributing.
Common mistakes that waste points
- Saving CP without a defined objective — points accumulated without use lose value when new items arrive
- Spend on items that will be replaced by raid gear soon
- Ignore temporary events that give CP bonuses — these are the best accumulation windows
Weekly plan to optimize CP
A simple routine that works:
- Every day: check-in + dailies available (15-20 min)
- Weekdays: at least one dungeon or BG
- Weekend: weekly raid + check active events
- Monthly: review rewards catalog and adjust spending objective
