Arathi Basin Guide for Beginners

Arathi Basin Guide for Beginners

•Advanced PvP•Brendo Arruda

What does AB really gain?

Arathi Basin is a map of:

  • bases
  • rotation
  • defense
  • time

The team that understands this early almost always seems “more organized”, even without having the best duelists in BG.

Base control and rotation priority

The heart of the map is simple:

  • maintain bases
  • don't miss out on free resources
  • rotate before, not after
  • do not abandon a node on impulse

In AB, losing a base has a greater cost than many people realize.

When to fight and when to reposition

Fight when:

  • the fight decides control of the base
  • pickoff prevents enemy rotation
  • you are opening up real space

Reposition when:

  • the fight does not change the node
  • your presence is worth more elsewhere
  • insisting on combat will delay the team

Most common macrogame errors

  1. overcrowding a base
  2. abandon defense too early
  3. chasing kills instead of rotating
  4. contest late
  5. not realizing that holding on is already victory in many moments

Adjustments by team composition

More mobile team

You can play more by rotation and response.

Strongest team in defense

It can value node maintenance and wear.

Chaotic team

Need to simplify: less fantasy, more clear bases.

Decision-making checklist

  • [ ] how many bases do we have?
  • [ ] where does the next rotation really matter?
  • [ ] does this fight decide node?
  • [ ] are we defending enough?
  • [ ] does my movement help resources or just seem active?

Minimum recommendation

To get off to a good start in Arathi Basin:

  1. Treat defense as part of victory
  2. rotate with intention
  3. fight only when the base is at stake

AB is not about running the entire map. It's about being in the right place before the problem becomes a loss of resources.
