"The History of the Expansions" series — The War Within, part 7. The story of World of Warcraft told expansion by expansion, with the patches that changed it. The episodes are listed in order at the end of the post.
The seventh part of The War Within is patch 11.1, Undermine. The goblins' underground capital becomes the center of the story, and the villain is an old acquaintance: Jastor Gallywix, who now calls himself the Chrome King and wants the whole city for himself. The goblin cartels unite against Gallywix, and the chapter ends in the Liberation of Undermine raid.
What is Undermine
Undermine is the great goblin city, hidden underground. It is home to the cartels, the organizations that run goblin trade. Instead of a king, the city has always worked like a market: whoever has more money and more influence has more say.

Gallywix, the Chrome King
Gallywix had already been Trade Prince of the Bilgewater Cartel and leader of the Horde's goblins. In Undermine, he presents himself as the Chrome King and hides in the Gallagio, his casino, surrounded by hired thugs.
His plan is simple and very goblin: wipe out all the rival cartels so Undermine is his alone to plunder.

Gazlowe and the cartels' resistance
The cartels, which were always fighting each other, united against Gallywix. The one leading the heroes in this fight is Monte Gazlowe, the goblin who built Ratchet and who has long opposed the way Gallywix does business.
Liberation of Undermine is the patch's raid. The heroes cross the city facing Gallywix's thugs, from racers to fight ring owners, until they reach the Gallagio.
The fall of Gallywix
Gazlowe blasts a hole in the Gallagio's facade, and the heroes face Gallywix inside the casino. He fights from inside a giant robot. When the robot is destroyed, Gallywix kicks the machine in anger, and it collapses on top of him. Gallywix dies crushed under the wreckage.
After the battle, Gazlowe promises to rebuild Undermine and make the world respect goblins, with the support of leaders such as Marin Noggenfogger and Baron Revilgaz.

- Booty Bay, Gadgetzan and Everlook: the cities of the Steamwheedle Cartel, with Marin Noggenfogger in Gadgetzan and Baron Revilgaz in Booty Bay.
- Venture Co.: the cartel you face in several zones, from Stonetalon to Grizzly Hills.
